Annual Trip - Cameron Highland.

went to cameron highland last weekend with a bunch of friends. it's an annual thing that we do. thanks to Donald, we get to stay in a nice cosy big bungalow with a butler who cooks for us. (he works in HSBC and his company owns that place). the house is actually the highest house there. just a few hundred metres above the local Palace. we decided to leave KL as early as possible fearing of the possibly massive traffic jam since it's a long weekend due to Merdeka.

ah mun reached my place at about 5.45a.m to pick me up and reached at the meeting point, after toll, at about 6a.m. [oh.. this time, smelly didn't go cos he have to work. )=  ]
while waiting, a bit of cw (cam whoring).

uncle mun stocking up while pumping petrol.

an icy cold Nescafe to fresh up!

the first who arrive. ah loon and kenny.

after nescafe with a few puff of ciggi!

why deric and shirley so long!!?!

we took off at about 6.30a.m and reached Bidor at about 7.30 i think.. for breakfast!

clockwise: kenny, donald, ah loon.

hello Bidor!

while waiting..

super delicious yam "kok".

duck leg mee! (in this photo, it's duck wing). not as good as few years ago when we visited this place.

after breakfast, we continue our journey to the highland at about 8.30.

ah loon paparazzi shot.

reaching soon.... well, soon is like.. another one hour.

cool breeze...

we reached there slightly before 10. luckily no jam and everyone was like.. speeding all the way..

lunch is not ready until 1pm so they decided to go for a few games of tennis.

in red: donald. in white: deric.

the weather is perfect.

peks in action.

lunch was served. chicken rendang.

super fresh vege.

sweet and sour fish

"fu yoong" egg

there were more dishes but too hungry to wait for photo.

woke up just in time for dinner!

some of them went out for a walk and came back with a red banana!!

they call it "durian banana" i kept saying that it's durian.

fooling around with the durian banana. huge huh.

took a short nap and woke up just in time for dinner!

auntie liew preparing our steamboat.

fresh prawns, squid and tofu.

steamboat. peks' favorite!

foo chuk was very delicious! chicken, pork, beef, crabmeat and meatballs is a must!

not forgetting fresh veges! this is my fav, "tong ou"

water crest vege. there are a total of 5 different veges for the night. so many choices!

after dinner, we just chill around.

uncle liew starting up the fireplace! i thought it was a fake until he light it up!

after dinner.cannot.move.

we watched a few movies. kenny bought a few very old ghost movies. damn funny.

the next morning. so cold!

breakfast was served at 9am. too hungry so forgot to take picture. it's English breakfast.

getting ready for our photoshoot. theme was white top with jeans.

chilling after breakfast.

lunch!

braised pork knuckles!

thai style fish

ah loon bought some very green fruit the night before at night market. it's called apple guava. uncle liew told us that it's actually guava dipped in green colored sugar. bad for health. very sweet green thing but tasteless white part, which is the guava.

after photoshoot, again, we watched some movies and some went out for drink while i took a nap until dinner.

bbq for dinner! chicken wings

best coleslaw!

must haves for bbq.

fried rice. yums!

potatoes. very nice.

pork fillet.

lamb fillet.

beef.

super delicious!

everyone was too full cos it's full of meat. but we had dessert anyway...

homemade apple crumble pie

with ice cream. super nice i tell you!

after dinner was a few games of "chai mui". a bit drunk so deric, me and peks slept while the others continue with movie (again). the next morning after breakfast, we went home.

really nothing much to do in cameron. very lazy and relaxing trip. the 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners plus accommodation costs us RM65 per person only. we round it up to RM70 (for tips). ttl! (tai tou lan!)

happy merdeka!

photoshoot photos coming up!

long weekend. new beginning.

Went buka puasa with a friend just now. Shock of my life when he told me that his 2nd elder brother passed away this year in Feb. car accident, with wife and 6 months baby in it. Wife suffered minor injuries. Baby sat at the backseat in mommy’s arm, got thrown over to the dashboard in front wasn’t hurt at all. Miracle still, but sadly the driver died on the spot due to internal injuries. I was really shocked when I heard this. Hope the wife and baby is strong.

So anyway, I’ll be starting work on the 1st Sept. wish me luck peeps. Hopefully everything will go well this time *fingers crossed*.

Cameron tomorrow!! But have to wake up at 5 cos uncle mun is coming to fetch me at 5.30am. fml.
Smelly is not going this time though. He’s tied up with work. Too bad.

things that i tend to forget.

maybe being jobless is a good thing. in a way.

i started to think so much and i definitely have so much time for myself, doing things that i don't really get to do when i'm busy working.

looking back, there's a list of things that i procrastinated. since i'm on a short break, i decided to get it done.

1. mailing some parcels out. done.

2. cancel unit trust. by this week.

3. alter 2 jeans. by this week.

4. resume Japanese lesson that i've ditched after attending 3 lessons. who wanna join me? september class.

5. clean room. done.

6. clean wardrobe. lazy this weekend.

7. dirty laundry that piled up since a month ago. lazy this weekend.

ok. enough of things to keep me busy for the rest of this week.

oh.. i'm serious about Jap class. well, at least this time, i'm gonna make sure that i at least get a cert back! who wanna go with me? weekend class?

I'm 24...

…and jobless again.

This year is a roller coaster ride for me. So many things happened and it scares me a little when things happened beyond my control.

At first, it feels really weird and fear was the first response to the series of (unfortunate) events that took place without a warning (well, sometimes with warning, just that I overlooked). But when I really thought about everything that happened, it reflects how my mind works. And how my bad habit affects (some) decisions that I’ve made.

I’ve never really regret doing things that I’ve done which leads to some problems that are unfavorable to me. What really make me sad are the things that people will do and say whenever I faced problems. And what actually people WILL do to benefit themselves. Seriously, some people will just do whatever it takes to get rid of something when they feel threaten with something they thought dangerous when the actual fact is, it meant no harm at all. And they harm others with their actions, knowingly or unknowingly, I digress.

It makes me more careful of whatever I do or say when I deal with this kind of people. But even I take precaution steps; I still fall into their trap and became a victim of their evil doings. I’ll just take it as bad luck and go on with whatever left of me. Plus, I still believe in karma.

Perhaps these series of (unfortunate) events came haunting me due to the things that I’ve probably done (knowingly or unknowingly, I’m not sure myself) and I’m probably just paying the karma. I’m still considered lucky that nothing extremely bad happened to myself. To me, it’s really just a life lesson to learn. Lessons that I might get to tell my children in the future. Now I understand why mom always nags me. It’s always the same issues that she’s trying to let me know and always asks me to avoid. But being a teenager and a rebellious daughter, I’ve never really listen and took her advises for granted. I admit that I’m still taking her words for granted because it hasn’t really happened to me, yet, but I’ll try to, at all cost, to avoid whatever her prediction was. *fingers crossed*

So back to being jobless this time… so unpredictable and sudden that I almost broke down. But didn’t.

It’s really a long story and not many people agree with what actually happened. There are always two sides of the coin.

Now, I’m back to the journey of looking for jobs and stressing on what to say in interviews, etc. I’ve always hated formal interviews. Especially the most asked question, “tell me about yourself”. Ugh. Hate that question cos I always found myself tongue-tied whenever I have to answer this question. But lucky for me that the last few jobs that I’ve got, I never had to answer it cos they never asks. Heh.

Ok, enough of rambling. I shall get back to job hunting. Wish me luck peeps!

reality bites.

i have so many things to write and bitch about. but i guess i'm over the "bitching" phase.

i'm quite amazed at myself sometimes.

at my life.

nothing pretty my surprises me anymore at this very moment. i think i'll just take whatever it is given to me.

i've learnt how to swallow it.

even if it's a chicken bone, i'll just swallow it.

happily.

any donor?

can someone show me the way?

i'm very lost.

all this time, i've been searching and striving and searching... for something that i'm not sure of. something that is not there.

Sam (my very good ex boss) is right. i don't know what i'm searching for.

now, i need to know what i'm looking for. i need time. a lot of it. but i'm afraid that i don't have the strength.

okay.

i know i can do this. i can face this. yes. i can.

but when?

Aunt Crystal's Birthday

went to aunt crystal's birthday dinner today at ampang waterfront restaurant.

Aunt Crystal and her boyfriend, Uncle Siew.

same generation. except for the baby and the spec girl (cousin's daughter) sitting are both one generation after us. :P the one in red is my cousin's wife. they both come to KL for holiday. yes.. her daughther is 21. imagine how young my grandfather is when he married my gramma in china.. my cousin is almost the same age as my dad!!

nearest age cousins.

last time we used to play girly things together. haha!! (yes.. all in the photo are girls.)

ok.. one more photo..

hmm.. that's only small part of our family.. i wonder when we will have a complete family photo.. sure will look like alumni photo.. so many people from so many generations!!

p/s: i don't know why the allignment of this post is so fucked up. stupid Opera.

can you do it?

fucking jam today. resulting me not going to work. 500metres took me half an hour! so idecided not to go to work today. not my fault ok... by the time i reach kl, which i estimate will take 2 hours, and be there for one hour and take me another 2 hours to go back. not worth wasting the time in the car. so i called Peks and we decided to go for Fish Head Meehoon at Kuchai. i reached earlier and ordered. while waiting, i just looked around and suddenly, i heard a sound.. "prettttt..." from the next table. sitting across me was a man and a lady who are enjoying their lunch. so i thought, i heard wrongly. then after about 5 minutes, i kebetulan facing the woman and i saw her tilting her butt a bit and a "pretttttt" sound came out. so CONFIRM the "prettt" sound i heard is from her!

can you imagine how disgusting is that? farting in public never mind.. somemore got sound. and her table is just next to mine! i can hear the fart so clearly!! AND the most disgusting thing is she's happily EATING and FARTING at the same fucking time!! damn no table manners loh... the man, i assume is her husband, didn't seem to notice it and eating normally!! then another 5 minutes, she did it again!!!! fucking smelly lor! somemore the wind is blowing to my direction! UGH!

why got people like this one..

see? she sit so near me!

nothing much exciting happened lately except work.

Ming's sister came back to kl for their annual trip with her husband and 2 lovely kids. they went off to Krabi with his parents yesterday and will be back on Saturday. (note to self: water the plants and feed Alfie! *and Smelly*)

anyway.. annual trip to Cameron Highland is on! 29th to 31st Aug. finally a getaway to some place cooler. it's so hot lately in KL.

started work in a new place for a month now. no comment. okay... i rather not whine comment about it. ugh.

i realised that year of ox is very very jinx to the ox. FML.

cousin's wife and daughter from Zhu Hai, China came for holiday. daddy asked me to bring them around town this weekend for shopping and dining. *scratch head* where to bring them?

went for a wedding dinner of a friend. catched up with a lot of people whom i've lost contact since i left form 6.  anyway.. what's with people and marriage nowadays? so many weddings this year and next. (it's a sign of getting old).

ok. enough of nonsense.

addicted to books all over again?

so i've been away (from blogging) for some time now. actually, i'm still procrastinating on getting a card reader to transfer all the photos. and been too busy about many things lately. and oh... i've almost forgot how addictive reading is. until i picked up Twilight. i finished reading Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse in just 4 days. what an achievement. at last (and at least) i don't feel too guilty about what i've bought months ago.. probably years ago.

i wanna talk about this Twilight thingy.

seriously.. the book is WAY better than the movie though. the movie is good actually, but then if you read the book before the movie, you'll think that the movie screwed up all the timeline and all. luckily i watched the movie before i read the book. lol.

anyway...

i liked Bella in Twilight. but not in New Moon and Eclipse. she's such a hypocrite. a traitor. it seems to me that she betrayed her love. she betrayed Edward. she betrayed Edward's love. Edward's love for her. i mean.. she so indecisive! and i hate that fact that she actually SAID that she love Jacob! ugh.. (it made me feels so... so ME. well, not entirely but her selfishness. her greediness. ugh.)

maybe i'm just too biased towards Edward. maybe the author purposely do that. you know...

i don't know what i'm talking about now. but just.. i just feel sorry for Edward. how can he love someone who love someone else too, at the same time? it bugs me.

New Moon is very VERY draggy for my liking. maybe it's just because i prefer vampires over werewolves. Eclipse is so-so only. i began to feel that the author likes to drag. and then full stop. ending already.

i just started reading the last book, Breaking Dawn, just an hour ago. still very excited cos Bella and Edward is getting married. i hope the last book is not as draggy as the second and third book though..

hmm.. what shall i read after this?

a new beginning

started new job for a week and i can see that i'll be very very busy from now onwards. though the company is small, i know that i can learn a lot from there. hopefully everything will go smoothly for me. i cannot let myself and everyone around me down again. especially those who are close to me. especially my ex boss. especially Smelly. i cannot afford to hurt them again and again, seeing me go aimlessly not knowing my direction even though i'm already holding a map and compass. i cannot fail them endlessly. i cannot waste my time anymore. cos i'm not young already. i've got wrinkles forming in the corner of my eyes. fine lines are more visible on my neck. back is getting hurt from sitting too long in the office. sigh! signs of aging..

oh.. last weekend we had farewell dinner for Gary and Joyce. they're migrating to NZ. hope they will have a wonderful new life there. photos coming up soon... IF i have the time to arrange it.

went for a drink and some shopping with Ann. omg... it's been like.. a year since we last went out. good to know that we've not drifted apart, like most best friends do after a while not seeing each other. i'm so glad that i've wonderful besties. two is enough for me... quality is always more important than quantity ;)

p/s: ann, we should hang out more often yea?

i is back!

back from Bangkok last Monday. too lazy to upload photos cos Opera and Safari is damn stupid. can't organize the photos.

summary: Bangkok is definitely NOT a place for me and Smelly. cos he doesn't really like shopping. and seeing him waiting for me while i do is a bit of a pain la.. kesian him.. another thing is.. the hotel that i stayed in is very inconvenient. far from shopping area. far from taxi stand. far from BTS station (have to walk at least 10 minutes). a bit regret that i didn't consult David, a good friend in Bestour.

so people, next time don't pandai pandai like me, do research online only, never ask properly.

i've uploaded the photos in facebook so not gonna put it all here again.

us at The Dome at State Tower. celebrate my birthday ma.. but mana tau, this skybar punya view is not that nice cos it's not fully open air (should've went to the one at Banyan Tree Hotel). and it costs us over rm100 for 2 drinks. my advice... don't go to any of the skybars. better buy liquor from supermarket or 7-eleven there. damn cheap.

at angkor wat

we wanted to go Wat Pho, The Sleeping Buddha and the Grand Palace but then we didn't know that we can't go in with shorts (another reminder: please DO RESEARCH PROPERLY before you travel next time!) so we went to another temple instead. it was a small temple. only open to public on selected days. we were lucky that so happen it was open the day we went there.
we bought some joss stick and candles and it came with a small piece of paper. we threw it away not knowing what was it for.. after praying, we got to know that the paper is for us to scrape off the gold on the Buddha statue and bring it home. it'll bring good luck.
-_-
no. we didn't take it back from the dustbin though i really feel like doing so. but then.. it was the heart that counts, right?
went to Chatuchak, Pratunam and Suan Lum night market.  another advice is... you can choose to go either one of the above mentioned place. cos the things they sell are all the same. personal advice: go to Pratunam Market, opposite Platinum shopping center (Platinum also selling the same thing in Pratunam but price a bit different cos one got air cond, one don't have). don't have to waste your time shopping in Suan Lum cos it's like our Petaling Street. they cut tourists punya throat like we slaughter chicken for Chinese New Year. but can go there for food though.
er...
overall it was a tiring trip cos we spent too much time in the taxi cos Bangkok's traffic jam is terrible and the hotel is far. we're definitely going for beach holiday next time!
oh yeah... Happy Birthday to ME!!!

birthday gift from Peks...
new hair!
cos she always say my hair style is very "liong" so she insisted that i pay a visit to Shawn Cutler. so how? nice? Smelly said it's nicer than how daddy always cut it (shhhh... don't let daddy know ok!).
hmm... should i cut it short again??
