Lack of Vitamin

recently, mu gums are bleeding. only at one particular spot in between my teeth. i'm not sure what causes it. sometimes it just bleed out of nothing. so i was quite worried and googled the reason of gum bleeding.

Bleeding gums are mainly due to inadequate plaque removal from the teeth at the gum line. This will lead to a condition called gingivitis, or inflamed gums.

If plaque is not removed through regular brushing and dental appointments, it will harden into what is known as tartar. Ultimately, this will lead to increased bleeding and a more advanced form of gum and jawbone disease known as periodontitis.

Other causes of bleeding gums include:

a bit scary huh.

Do You Have One Too?

In every relationship, surely there is some special something between 2 people that we can categorise it as “Our *noun*”. For example, Our Song, Our Place, Our Movie, etc., you get the drift. I can safely say that most people who are in a relationship have that “special something”. Or at least it occurs in my case(s).

I was trying hard to remember what was my first “Our Song”.. to my surprise, my first “Our Song” does not belong to any of my ex boyfriends… it belongs to me and my best friend. The song was “Ai, Hen Jian Dan” by David Tao. I don’t know how it became “Our Song” and why it was that song. It’s just… Our Song. Now, every time I listen to that song, it’ll remind me of those bittersweet memories that we went through (sorry to disappoint anyone, but we’re really just best friends if you’re wondering now, so no juicy stories okay).

With one of my ex, we have “Our Path”. Which is the road that we used to automatically walked every time, when we wandered aimlessly. It’s from KL Plaza towards Low Yat Plaza via BB Plaza sidewalk. We used to end up walking towards that direction unknowingly and walk back to the starting point. Thinking about it now makes me feel like an idiot… no direction, just walk and make a U-turn. Damn waste time. Wtf.

With another ex of mine, we have “Our Language”. We used to turn the first letter of a word to “W” in our conversation for example, “I miss you” became “I wiss you” and “I love you” became “I wurve you”, and we would make up some gibberish words that only we would understand and ended up competing who “invented” the most complicated word and we had fun guessing the meaning of those words we created for each other. (sigh… bitter-ing)

When most people will have some normal type of “Our *something*”, me and my Smelly have most of “Our *something*” quite differently. For example, Our Song. When most people have romantic Pop, R&B, Soul or Classical songs, Our Song is a Trance song.  A bit wtf right? Lol. Damn un-romantic. But the title is ok la… It’s “Angel Falls” by Ayla. I forgot when or how we declare it Our Song, but I had fun teasing him when I know he used it as his ringtone for my number when we first dated..

“Why you use this ringtone for my number geh?”

“Dunno.. I like la..”

“Oh.. I know… Angel Falls.. like, I Fall, like that la??”

Geddit? Geddit?? Ok. Might be lame. But it works every time, to make him feel jah dou. So every time we heard that song, I will say, “Bie!! I Fall!!  *slump on him*” wtf!

Our Song is weird enough.. and to add more weirdness (weird to me lah), we have “Our Phrase”. Which is “stupid dum dum”. We’ll call each other “stupid dum dum” whenever there’s a chance. No miss one! I ask you la.. where got people call their girlfriend/boyfriend stupid (and still get away with it) one?? Ish..

There’s still a list of “Our *something*”  but I shall not disclose too much here. Wtf.. later you all say we stupid dum dum.

Bleh!

What’s your “Our *insert special something*”??

Every Time You Need Me

All-time favourite! Never get bored with this type of tunes..  so happy..

Everytime you need me
You know I'll be there
You know I really care
Say you will
Say you dare

And when a feeling comes around
Let it sparkle and let it shine
Let it lift you off the ground
Make it last, baby make it mine

You are the sun that rises
You are the moon that lights the night
You are what paralyses me
Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
You know I really care
Say you will
Say you dare
Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
A love beyond compare
Say you will
Say you care

Write my name into the sky
And keep the memories in your heart
Let the hours pass us by
I guess that this is a way to start

You are full of surprises
You are a fire burning bright
You are what mesmerises me

Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
You know I really care
Say you will
Say you dare
Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
A love beyond compare
Say you will
Say you care

Say you dare...
Say you dare....
Say you dare.....
No no, no no

Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
You know I really care
Say you will
Say you dare
Everytime you need me
You know I will be there
A love beyond compare
Say you will
Say you care

Sentiments.

It’s raining outside. It reminds me of 5 years ago, how I used to love watching the rain, like tiny little crystals drop from the sky. I used to sit at the “patio” at KL Plaza’s Starbucks, the first job that I loved, and watch those crystals crush on the pavement of the sidewalk. The sidewalk is always busy with people. People who worked nearby. Tourists who lived next door. Girls who loves shopping. Beggars who begs for living. Child labour who sells gums and tissues. I could sit there whole day smelling the rain and watch people pass by. I loved listening to the sound of water splashing when they stepped unwillingly on the bumpy street, filled with puddles of water, running away from the rain to get some shelter. It reminds me of how I loved walking in the rain, looking up the sky and feel the raindrop on my face. It reminds me of how emotional and how predictable my mind was back then.

It reminds me of how easy it was to find happiness in the simplest things. How easy it was to compose a conversation without the fear of being judged. How everyone was a friend. How easy it was to fall in and out of love. How simple everything seems. It doesn’t feel the same anymore now. Perhaps maturity has restricted those emotions. Perhaps it was just an imagination that I chose to believe in. Perhaps it wasn’t simple at the first place. Or maybe it was the greed that is changing it all and making it all difficult.

Perhaps it was the rain that brought back those lost emotions.

Wedding Is The New Black

These few weeks have been uneventful. Except for attending a secondary school friend’s wedding, where I met a lot of secondary school friends that lost contact after SPM. Not forgetting a few teachers who taught us in Form 4 and 5 (Cik Rahimah, now Puan Rahimah, who taught us Accounting, and Puan Rosham who taught us Bahasa). Lol. It’s weird seeing them when I’m not in school uniform. Surprisingly, Puan Rahimah remembered me. I guess of course not because I’m a top student.. because it’s either I always sleep or skip her classes. Hahah! It’s good to see familiar faces again. As always, the best and sweetest memories are during secondary school days. Remembering how young we all once were. How naïve our thinking was. How mischievous and ill-behaved I was towards the teachers. Ahh.. bittersweet memories.

There’ll be two weddings on the 1st of November. An uncle from a different grandmother, another one is my close friend in college. I’m wondering which one I should attend. Hmm.. Most probably my friend’s wedding cos he invited since last year and I assured him 2 weeks ago when we’re out for dinner that I’ll definitely attend it.

Another wedding in December 6th. My beloved ex-boss. This one, die die also must go. He helped me a lot, in a way, even after I’m not working with him anymore. He’s like a friend rather than boss.

Yet another wedding in January 23rd. another close friends’ wedding.

Ahh…

So many weddings to attend. It’s the “in” thing right now. I wonder when it will get out of fashion. Gah!

A Tiny Space In Our Hearts

Yesterday morning, I have a feeling that I HAVE to see my bestie (haven’t seen him in a while), so I texted him, “Let’s hang out. Free after working hours today?” I rarely text him cos usually, I prefer calling (texting is mah fan, don’t you think?) but ever since 3 years ago, our phone calls from once a day became once in every 3 months. Wtf.  Okay, let’s not go to that topic. Ugh.

He replied almost instantly, which kinda surprised me cos he NEVER reply instantly (sometimes never reply at all.. wtf… and NEVER answer my calls unless he feels that it’s urgent… fml… and usually his instinct are right. A habit that I loathe!) so anyway, he replied, “Meh si oh? Why suddenly sound so serious? What happen?”

-_-    do I look like a problematic child? Wtf.

After gazillion of smses, we agreed to have dinner. Turns out that he’s the emo one this time. Hahah.. our instincts for each other are still quite accurate huh. After venting out throughout dinner, he finally felt better. We spent 4 hours catching up and talking mostly about how time flies, especially the things we’ve been through together, silly things that teenagers do… come to think about it, we were both so protective towards each other.. Well, unknowingly. We talked about possibilities. Possibilities of a lot of things that almost happen but never did. Possibilities of our future (individually, okay). Those “what-if” questions that we asked.. Those “maybe” answers that we replied. How things changed throughout these 8 years we've known each other.

“Where’s my birthday present that you promised?”

“at home….”

“tiu.. cheat one…”

“Really one!! Uhm… ok lah.. What you want? Faster say!! I give.. Anything also can!”

“I only want things to be like what it used to be”

Silence.

I knew it was impossible.

But I want him to know that he’s still very important to me.

“Remember how I’ve always wondered how life would be without you? I’m still wondering now..”

“Well.. You can safely say that your life is already without me now. No difference, right? Just that now, once in a while, we complement each other during emotional breakdowns. At least we both know where to find each other.”

Well… at least there are still a minute of space in our hearts for each other to retreat to.

M.A.C.C 1st EGM

Went to PJ Live Art Centre to watch M.A.C.C 1st EGM with Shorty and Ah Kor. It’s actually our first time watching live stand-up comedy. It’s fantastic! Douglas Lim was awesomely hilarious! Not forgetting Phoon Chi Ho and Kuah Jenhan. I personally like Chi Ho the best.. cos the moment he went on the stage,  haven’t say a word already got people laughing! LOL.. Overall, it’s a good show and good experience for me. I don’t mind watching it again.  You guys should go with me again!!!!!!!!! Let's!

Nyeh..

Monday blues again….

Ugh.. Shopping is definitely killing my wallet! Please rain some money tonight! Bai!

Pre Fourthniversary Thoughts

It’s October again, which marks the 4th year since the first time we met. For the past two years, around this time, I wrote some thoughts. And I shouldn’t make it an exception this year and the years after. It feels like just yesterday I wrote this and this. How time flies.

January 2010 will be our Fourthniversary. Just like the previous years, I didn’t feel any major changes (yet). They said the 3rd, 5th and 7th year is a very crucial year in a relationship. And most people tend to break up in the 3rd, 5th or 7th year. However, I don’t really believe it cos it hasn’t happen to me (yet). (I guess the reason why most people breaks up within that duration is because:- 3 years is enough to learn what type of person your partner is, try to sort thing out for another 2 years after knowing them inside-out, then to be patient for another 2 years after trying hard to hold on and if it doesn’t work, means it will never work. So why waste another 4 years of playing the patient one when you’re not? and holding on to something that you know is hard to keep? Why waste that precious 4 years when you can use those 4 years to know someone better? Ok, I digress.)

Honestly, these 3 years of being with him are definitely a breeze, compared to most relationships that I’ve heard of (from friends, family and previous experience). No doubt, there are times that we annoy each other, got angry for petty things, sick of each others’ bad habits, bore each other to death, etc. but that’s what makes us stronger, right? All these while, I have to give some credit to him for keeping this relationship so well, he’s been patient enough to layan my childishness. He stayed around to keep me sane. Humorous enough to keep up with my silliness and his hands are always there to wipe away my tears.

Last year, I remember I wasn’t sure how can our relationship be so simple? So many questions. So many doubts. So many worries. So paranoid. But it’s all good now. Cos I believe it’s just a phase.

Ahh.. how I wish I can plan for an anniversary getaway! Hmm…

I am not your ATM machine.

If you don’t have money, then DON’T USE them. At the end of the day, don’t come back to us and demand us to give money to you (note: GIVE cos we all know that you’re not gonna pay us back after all that promises cos the same thing will happen every fucking month and the cycle continues).

If we can learn from the hard way, I’m sure you can too. And I’m still not fucking sure why she still want to help you out and giving all sorts of excuses to blind herself, and trying to blind us too, just to make everyone feels that it’s okay to help you out. Ughh! You’re working now and I am too. The only person that I ask money from is my boss, just because he is obligated to pay my salary and everyone else’s.

Of course, to say that I don’t ask others for cash is a total lie, cos I do admit I’m human too, I ask money from Smelly when I’m extremely out of cash BUT I do pay him back when I have money. Whereas you? You didn’t even say thank you when we gave you money! And the attitude after you get the money is totally NOT acceptable by normal social standard! Plus, WE DO NOT WORK OUR ASSES OFF TO GIVE YOU MONEY! And you in return, gave the money to illegal gambling arcade AND your girlfriend’s shoes! Wtf! And now you’re saying as if I am obligated to give you money as present for your birthday. Niamah!

I repeat… I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE CASH TO YOU ANYMORE. If you’re really hungry, I’ll buy you food. That’s because I’m still human.

Grr.

Whoa.. got people honour me leh.. haha.. So the next mini project that I’m up to is to be a guest contributor to actuallyleemun.blogspot.com to jointly write review about Olympus FE-320 compact camera.

How it works?

Uncle Mun will test-try the camera and he will dictate, I will write. Just like his PA taking minutes. lol.. Then we will edit together (chewah.. like we’re gonna publish magazine hor..) . it’s gonna be fun.

The reason why we’re reviewing compact cameras is because we thought that there are very few reviews on the compact due to the attention are given more to DLSR nowadays. Not everyone owns a DLSR and not everyone who owns a compact camera knows about the specialty and ability of what their compact camera can/cannot do. So we’re here to give a full test on the functionality and quality of different brands and price range of compact cameras in our market. (heck, even I would definitely need this information.. and especially for those who are still hunting for a new camera. *winkz*)

We aim to be unbiased. Since it will be a personal review, we might tend to write according to personal preferences but however, do not worry, we will definitely write as honest as we can. And you can be the judge yourself.

Nikon Coolpix S51 review by leemun

after coming back from Melaka, Uncle Mun saw some of the photos that i took from my lousy trusty old compact cam and surprisingly, some photos turned out quite good (for a compact camera). so he decided to abandon his Nikon D700 last weekend to get his hands on my Nikon S51. after much molesting, pressing, stroking, and clicking on the S51, Uncle Mun wrote a short review.

click here for a short review of my 2 year-old Nikon Coolpix S51 compact camera by leemun.

Disclaimer: The review written solely from personal point of view on point-and-shoot camera by a camera enthusiast. Author did not meant to be biased, nor being paid for this review.

Stay tuned for more reviews on other brands of compact camera by leemun.

Some facts about leemun:
- His name is Lee Mun but I call him Uncle Mun most of the time in my blog. in reality, i call him Ah Mun though i really think that it's rude to call him by his name (generation gap. lol) but because we're close friends, so why not.

- He's a camera enthusiast (at least in my eyes and other members of our clique). He's the camera pro in our group.. he used to own a photography studio some few years back and been shooting profiles photos for some of the famous models before they were even famous (wanna know more, feel free to drop him a comment or two over his blog).

- lately he's been giving "lectures" for free to members of our clique, during our makan session on how to utilise camera functions (usually DSLR). he also welcomes anyone to have a photo outing on weekends.

- he's also a freelance/part-time lifestlye photographer now that he's made a comeback after being hiatus for quite a while from photography. Hope on to his facebook profile for some of his masterpiece.

- he just started blogging after some peer presure (he doesn't want to be called outdated. lol!), his blog posts mainly revolves around friends, outings, and of course, photography and some tips if he feels like it.

p/s- no, i'm not paid for this. just thought of sharing some of the facts about my very talented friend.. =)

my 18-months old niece. so cute….. *sayangs*

Mid Autumn Festival

Today is Mid Autumn Festival. We went dinner with daddy and few of my aunties yesterday. Ming’s parents went for wedding dinner tonight so i decided to cook. invited Ah Mun to come over since he got no where to go. since it’s been a long time i didn’t cook “mien fun kueh/mien fun cha gor”, or better known as “pan mee”, i decided to cook it for Ming for the first time. bought some vege, minced pork and meatballs. there were flour and mushrooms at home so we’re good to go.. i went out and was late back home so luckily Ming’s mother cooked the mushroom for me so i only had to cook the minced pork, boil the soup, fry the anchovies and make the dough for the mee. after 2 hours working in the kitchen, here’s the end product.

DSCN3003

mee made scratch from flour by me! yums!

DSCN3006 add some  anchovies

DSCN3007 add some minced pork

DSCN3008  and some mushrooms

DSCN2999 like this.. (sorry for the bad photo)

DSCN3001 a happy customer.. bleh.

i bought mooncake from Starbucks for Ming’s mother last week. this year no budget so opt for Starbucks instead of Ritz Carlton like previous years. Heh. but i’ve always love Starbucks’ mooncake cos they have nice box. =P

DSCN2870DSCN2871 DSCN2868 Tiramisu flavor

DSCN2869 Berries Cheese

i bought the small box so only limited to this 2 flavors. they have other flavors but it’s bigger box i think 4 or 6 in a box and including Tazo tea. as i mentioned, low budget this year, so as much as i wanted to try it, i didn’t get it. heh.

25092009201 cheese in the middle with a hint of coffee taste for the paste. love the combination!

DSCN2941 cheese in the middle and berry paste. slightly hint of berry sourness. i like! something different.

Starbucks mooncakes are not very sweet, which is good cos i used to hate eating mooncake when i was a kid cos they made it super sweet. apparently because last time (few decades ago) they don’t have fridge in every house, so in order to make the mooncake last longer, they use a lot of sugar.

i’ve always love Ritz Carlton’s mooncakes. especially their white lotus paste with single yolk and durian flavor mini mooncake. it’s the best!! gonna order it next year!

yesterday, Ming’s mother brought back something that was long forgotten… as a kid, i’ve always liked those..

it’s called 猪仔饼 (piglet biscuit). that’s what kids eat during Mid Autumn Festival cos kids don’t normally like mooncakes.

DSCN2978

DSCN2988 one thing about this piglet biscuit.. the shape is not like pig! ugh.

ok that’s besides the point…

we were testing my camera yesterday just to see what a normal compact camera can do.. and we went a lil bit overboard.. heh..

wanna know why those piglet is in the cage and why they kena 浸猪笼 (zam g long/ caged up throw in water. wtf)? here’s why..

once a upon a time, there are 2 pigs. one male, one female. they were both married but not to each other. they were having affair behind their partners.

DSCN2991 DSCN2992 69 wtf.

one day, they kena caught by the village people… and they were forced to 浸猪笼.

DSCN2989

DSCN2990 they bid each other with a goodbye kiss..

DSCN2993 and off they were sent to the “river”… wtf.

sorry for the lame story. bare with me. heh.

HAPPY MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL!

all photos are taken with Nikon S51 compact camera.

ghost of us.

shadow

we looked like aliens! lol!

LaLa Chong Seafood Village

Was looking at my photos archive and i found some of the photos that i’ve forgotten.. heh.. not a true blogger. (i insist that i’m not a blogger. i just happen to be a person who owns a blog. bleh!)

my ex boss took me to LaLa Chong Seafood Village at er.. i dunno the exact place cos i’m road idiot. but it’s near NZX and Aman Suria. he told me this LaLa Chong dont serve pork while the one near Subang Airport does. we went there after a long meeting with a client and he said he feel like eating something light so we went there since it’ nearby our office.

DSCN2543

DSCN2544

“Seong Tong LaLa” LaLa Soup. their specialty it seems. this soup is definitely highly recommended! very flavorful and best thing is, the lala is very fresh and size of it is just nice. unlike most of the other restaurants, their lala is quite big. thinking about it makes crave for it now.. slurpz!

DSCN2546 “Yuet Kwong Hor” Fried Kuey Tiao with raw egg. this is nice too! well, at least up to my expectation la.. but if they have pork lard in it, it will be perfect!

that’s the only 2 dishes that we had. i ended up tapau-ing for Smelly and his parents that night. 2 of the same dish as well. and if i remember correctly, it doesn’t cost a bomb. i think total bill came up to about rm50 or something(including take away). ah.. i would go back there for more if i remember how to get there.. hmmmm.

Vince’s 24th

forgot to post this up…

went to Frontera Bar & Grill at Jaya One to celebrate Vincent’s birthday… which was one day after Smelly’s birthday dinner.. (and his birthday is actually one day after Smelly’s so since the day i knew Vince 2 years ago, i remember his birthday until now.. and forever… wtf)

DSCN2771

  deco of the place.

 DSCN2772

they have this  pinate thingy hanging on the ceiling.. which i think is very cute..

DSCN2773

the bar

DSCN2776

(forgot the name again) some tomato soup. surprisingly very appetizing (wtf.. memang pun appetizer right..) i like the herbs they use in this soup. Vince said it tasted like tomyam? i think it tastes like tomato soup with dunno what special herbs with tortilla chips.

DSCN2781

nachos. better than chilis’ ones.. they have those jalapeño chilis on it. a bit of kick there..

 DSCN2782

their famous chicken wings. the waitress asked if we wanted super spicy, so we thought ok.. we’re up to challenge. but a bit disappointed cos it’s not as spicy as i’d imagine. tak puas hati so i asked the waitress again if it’s their spiciest. she told me got somemore… Gila Spicy. ceh… turns out the one we ordered is normal spicy only. so i requested her to add some more spicy thing in it…

DSCN2800

after adding Gila Spicy. quite a disappointment tho cos it’s still not as hot as i’d imagine…. just a tiny little bit hotter than the first one. so those reviews about this very spicy chicken wings is kinda overrated. hmm.

DSCN2791

here’s me trying my first wing..

DSCN2783

too hungry to layan me..

DSCN2784

so i turn on my CW™ mode with nachos.

DSCN2786

beef burger. which is very HUGE serving..

DSCN2789

i ordered with extra bacon strip.

DSCN2792

see how huge is that? i think bigger than Carl’s Jr. and cheaper too… and i don’t even know how to eat it..

DSCN2788

Vince’s beef enchiladas. very flavorful.

this restaurant’s serving is very big.. so don’t order so much when you’re there..

DSCN2787

ah po’s er.. i forgot what. i think it’s er.. i really forgot. but i remember it’s chicken.

 DSCN2794

can’t finish my burger even after Vince helped me.

 DSCN2795

Vince’s enchiladas. cannot finish also even after i tried to help him…

DSCN2796

po’s leftover.. but he finished it in the end..

DSCN2799

Vince took the challenge.. LOL too spicy for him.

DSCN2802

“mmmm…. i think it’s not very spicy. still can accept”

DSCN2803

“wtf!!!”

it’s really not THAT spicy.. i didn’t even have the urge to drink water after eating those wings.. it’s a bit too salty tho.. not spicy. hmm… i wonder if it’s really Gila Spicy.. or the waitress got my order wrong?? perhaps there’s another Wickedly Gila Nutcase Spicy that they didn’t serve it out.. i wonder….

bill came up to RM175++ i think it’s quite okay for the fact that their serving is definitely huge. worth the try but definitely not everyone’s liking cos it’s very authentic tex-mex food. i personally can accept the taste but not ah po.. he still prefers his char kuey tiaw..

Makan Session v2.0

Went to Nambawan Cafe for dinner with Deric, Kiera, Shirley, Uncle Mun and Smelly just now. It was totally recommended by Steven when i chatted with him last week. he said the food there is nice and affordable. and best of all, they serve pork! very few western restaurant in KL serves pork so we thought of giving it a try since Steven said it’s better than going to El Cerdo… i googled the place and found a few bloggers review and most of them rates it quite high.

 DSCN2889

my lemonade. quite a big glass…

DSCN2890

Deric’s daughter, Kiera. very cute five year-old. i ordered orange juice after asking her if she wanted to drink and when it came, deric don’t let her drink cos she’s got cough.. so we ordered another glass without ice after persuading deric that it’s okay to drink.. ahh.. reminds me of those days when i was a kid.. parents not letting us drink cold drinks and all.. =P

DSCN2892

pork sausage. there’s a name for it but i forgot most of them. this sausage is totally recommended! the juice and cheese spurt out the moment my knives cut through it! and each and every cut, there’s juice! whoa!! orgasmic!

DSCN2894

lamb chop.

though usually restaurant will give 2 pieces, this one only gave one. but still worth it. very tender and cooked to perfection. not too dry.

 DSCN2896

pork ribs.

it was recommended by the restaurant. weekend special, she said. the best dish of the night! i only had one bite but it’s really nice! not too dry and tastes like.. er… char siew.. hmm..

DSCN2897

another weekend special. roast pork belly. the meat is juicy, the skin is very crunchy! i like! too bad they gave too little skin. heh.. Smelly really liked this dish. roasted just the way he likes it!

 DSCN2900

meat ball.

i think it’s pork. another star dish. very flavorful. better than Ikea’s meatball, IMHO.

DSCN2906

dunno what grilled white fish.

the fish texture is not rough. no “fishy” taste. Smelly said the sauce taste weird (not bad kind of weird) i think it’s the herbs they use. some new taste to me tho…

overall, the food was delicious for my tastebuds. will definitely go back for more. and the best thing is, for all that food plus drinks, the total bill came up to about RM108 only. TTL!!! (tai tou larn!)

here’s the restaurant’s info:

Nambawan Restaurant & Cafe
