"Fatal bid to 'save' handphone
KUALA LUMPUR: A woman who lunged to grab her handphone that slipped from her hand plunged five floors to her death at Sungei Wang Plaza yesterday.
Beauty shop operator Pauline Lye Yuan Min, 32, was sitting on a railing and talking on her mobile phone on the fourth floor of the shopping complex at 7.15pm when the phone slipped from her hand.
She then tried to grab it but toppled over the railing and fell on a table on the lower ground floor, resulting in severe head injuries.
Many shoppers rushed to her aid but she died on the spot."

So i thought NST reported a more specific news than The Star.. but then, i was wrong...
i was having breakfast with my colleagues today and we talked about this incident. he read in China Press that a Malay woman saw the whole incident.
Apparently, Pauline's husband sells crystals on 3rd floor. she went to 4th floor to make a phone call. the malay lady saw her dialing her mobile a few times, while doing that, she walked back and forth near the railing. when she started talking on her phone, she stepped on a chair beside the railing and sit on the railing and continue talking on the phone. after that, she slipped, and fell down.
that's what China Press reported. she didn't drop her phone. but she slipped and fell down.
so, which report should we believe?
firstly, her husband's shop is on the 3rd floor. assuming that she was there to see her husband (cos she's wearing casual and it's a holiday), why she went one floor up to make the call?
secondly, if there's a CHAIR there, why she didn't just sit ON the CHAIR, but chose to step up and sat on the railing, ON FOURTH FLOOR, instead? logically, if it's ME, i'll choose to sit on the chair. it's meant to be seated on, right? and, 4th floor is VERY high! it's dangerous. logic people like me wouldn't sit ON the railing in 4th floor and talk on the phone. right?
there must be another story behind it.
